While the story’s authenticity is questionable at first, when an abandoned research facility is discovered nearby, the truth comes into focus. With the facility now overgrown and crumbling, it’s clear the study didn’t go as planned. The only question is—why?
Told through found documents interspersed with a personal narrative, What About the Scientists? propels its reader through an underground world of beauty and horror driven by humanity’s desire to keep pushing its limits regardless of the consequences.
Eric Percak studied creative writing at the University of Glasgow. A seasoned hiker, his adventures outdoors provided inspiration for the setting of his debut novel What About the Scientists?
