America's Blues Birthday Party

America’s Blues Birthday Party is an official America 250 celebration and a FREE, two-day outdoor music festival honoring America’s blues heritage across multiple eras, styles, and regions of the country. Presented by the Windy City Blues Society in partnership with the Village of Lyons, the event takes place September 19 & 20 at Veterans Park & Smith Park next to Village Hall in Lyons, Illinois. The festival will feature: • 2 stages of live music • More than 40 performances featuring national, regional, and Chicago blues artists • A wide variety of blues styles including traditional Chicago blues, Delta blues, contemporary blues, soul-blues, zydeco, roots music, and more • Food vendors, community activities, and family-friendly programming • Sunday evening fireworks finale • Accessible festival grounds in a welcoming environment The event is supported in part by the National Endowment for the Arts and the Illinois Arts Council. VIP Lounge passes are available for $125 per day and include complimentary food and beverages including beer, wine, soft drinks, and water, plus access to a cash bar throughout the day and evening.
