Audree’s Art Class
Youth-Focused Expression
Saturday, March 7th | 10:00-11:30am
Audree’s Art Class celebrates Audree’s life and art, the importance of artistic expression in the lives of youth, and the benefits of mindfulness in all aspects of life. This free class, titled “Art and Mindfulness” and offered at the Baker Hunt Art and Cultural Center, is designed to foster an understanding of our own thoughts and emotions, and to find a healthy way to express them through art.
Charity Rust-Jordan is an artist, educator, and is the Community Relations Director for Baker Hunt Art and Cultural Center. Charity graduated from Northern Kentucky University with a BA in Fine Arts focused in Spatial Arts, with a micro-credential in mindfulness. She also possesses numerous certificates from other organizations like the University of Cincinnati in mindfulness, meditation, and stress management, and graduated from a two year program at Bright Dawn Center of Oneness.
A variety of projects from pottery to watercolor to fiber arts will be offered as this program progresses.
Youth ages 10-16 are invited to register for this workshop. There will be multiple offerings of this class in the future, so please only register if you are certain you can attend. Students who miss class without providing advanced notice will not be allowed to sign up for future classes.
This class is provided free of cost by generous donations from Audree’s Family, and others. Please consider DONATING to keep this class available for our community’s youth. A $15 donation provides access to this class and supplies for one youth student.
