Cordage Making Tuesday, 5:00 pm April 7 | Ages 16-99+ Class: This course introduces cordage making as both a functional skill and a form of material knowledge. Participants will learn to transform raw fibers like dandelion, Virginia creeper, kudzu, and more, into cord through hand-twisting and plying techniques while exploring the historical role of cordage in textile production, tool making, and daily life. What You’ll Learn: In a group learning environment, you’ll learn the overview of cordage across cultures, single-strand twist and basic hand-rolling techniques, understanding of different materials such as; plant fibers, reclaimed fibers, and contemporary substitutions, and much more! You’ll Leave with: You leave with an understanding how how to create natural cords using reusable and natural materials for future projects. Deadline to register by: April 3rd
