...and that means they have the power to lead transformative change. With the scale of their land, facilities, and communities, schools can improve student outcomes, strengthen neighborhoods, and build a more resilient future.
The Green & Healthy Schools Symposium brings together educators, school leaders, students, health agencies, city officials, and community partners to explore bold, practical strategies inspired by Green Umbrella’s Green & Healthy Schools Guide. The day will focus on three high-impact approaches: expanding and maintaining vibrant school campus greenspaces, strengthening K–12 career pathways, and building wellness networks that support students and staff through partnerships and programming.
Students will play a central role as speakers and panelists, highlighting the collective impact taking shape across our region. Participants will leave with a ready-to-use Green & Healthy Schools framework, real-world models, and tools to turn ideas into action—followed by a networking event to connect and collaborate.
