Explore a little-known region of northern Tanzania in this 25-minute documentary film by award-winning director Hans Cosmas Ngoteya, sharing Maasai voices, endangered giraffes, and timeless lessons of balance, resilience, and coexistence.
Following the screening, guests are invited to stay for light refreshments and discussion with Dr. Laly Lichtenfeld, Co-Founder and CEO of African People & Wildlife.

After growing up in New Jersey, Dr. Laly Lichtenfeld started her journey to becoming a conservation scientist, National Geographic Explorer, and Co-founder and CEO of African People & Wildlife. A champion of community-led conservation, she holds a Ph.D. from Yale and has spent over two decades working in East Africa. Laly is a recipient of the Lowell Thomas Award and the WINGS Women of Discovery Award. Her work focuses on balancing human well-being and wildlife protection through innovative, locally led conservation strategies.
