Grief Share Support Group
Grace Baptist Church (formerly Central Baptist Church) of Oak Ridge will again offer an in-person GriefShare support group, beginning Wednesday, August 20, 2025. The meetings will be held each Wednesday from 6:00-7:30pm for 13 weeks at Grace Baptist Church, 130 Providence Road in Oak Ridge.
GriefShare is a network of 20,000 churches world-wide equipped to offer grief support groups. It is non-denominational and features Biblical concepts for healing from the loss of your loved one, whether it be a spouse, child, parent or other family member or loved one.
There are three key components to the program: a video seminar featuring leading grief recovery experts, your support group, where there is discussion about the weekly video content and you can share your story if so desired and additionally a workbook that reinforces the weekly session topics.
The group facilitators will be Jack Bailey, a member of Grace Baptist Church, who has experienced the loss of his wife and younger sister in recent years and Marie Westfall, who lost her adult son.

****In addition to the classes at Grace Baptist Church in Oak Ridge, classes will also be offered at the Grace Baptist Church campus in Knoxville, located at 7171Oak Ridge Highway, Knoxville, TN, beginning Monday, September 8, 2025, from 10:00-11:30am. Jack Bailey will be the facilitator.
****Classes will also be offered at Oak Valley Baptist Church in the Scarboro community, 194 Hampton Road, Oak Ridge, beginning Tuesday, August 19, 2025, from 5:30-7:00pm. Jack Bailey and Marie Westfall will be the co-leaders.
