ANTIBALAS is a renowned Brooklyn-based Afrobeat collective formed in 1998 by Martín Perna, known for their high-energy music, heavily inspired by Fela Kuti and West African funk. The multi-instrumental group blends jazz, funk, dub, and traditional drumming, featuring a powerful, intricate horn section and complex, rhythmic, "bulletproof" grooves.
