The Milestones:
Two hundred fifty years ago, the United States declared its independence in Philadelphia on July 4, 1776. One hundred years later, Philadelphia hosted the 1876 Centennial Exposition, welcoming 10 million visitors from around the globe to Fairmount Park for the first World’s Fair in the United States. Today, this area is known as the Centennial District and is home to Highmark Mann. In 1976, as the country celebrated its Bicentennial, Highmark Mann was founded in West Fairmount Park. In 2026, these milestones come together as we celebrate the nation’s Semiquincentennial alongside Highmark Mann’s 50th anniversary.

The Milestone Mashup will take place Saturday, August 22, 2026 from 11AM-5:00PM at Highmark Mann, located at 5201 Parkside Avenue, Philadelphia, PA. Please note: activations will run until 4PM followed by a community dance party on the South Plaza from 4-5PM.
