Medication Take Back
The City of Rochester, in partnership with Uplift Irondequoit and Monroe County Addiction Services Team IMPACT, will host a free medication take-back event as part of the Drug Enforcement Administration’s National Prescription Take Back Day.
Community members may drop off unused or expired prescription and over-the-counter medications, including pet medications. Accepted items include tablets, capsules, patches, and other solid forms of medication. Liquid medications will be accepted if they are sealed in their original containers. Syringes, sharps, and illicit drugs cannot be accepted.
Walk up or use the drive-through option. This event offers a safe, convenient, and anonymous way to dispose of unneeded medications and help prevent misuse.
