AARP Safety Driving Course
The AARP Smart Driver course is designed for anyone with a valid NYS driver's license. It will help tune up driving abilities, provide you with the newest NYS laws and help adapt driving skills for any health-related changes. Upon completion of this 6 hour course, participants will receive up to a 10%, multiyear, car insurance discount (if you are under 25, please check with your insurance company to make sure you are eligible for the discount). The DMV may assess up to a 4 point reduction on your license. Cost is $25 for AARP members and $30 for everyone else. Check or Money Order ONLY payable to AARP on the first day of class. Please bring a pen, your NYS license and your AARP membership card. Our Media is all closed captioned. However, If you are part of the hearing-impaired community and need an interpreter, please let the library know. Also, please note we need at least a 2-month lead time to procure interpreters for a course and you must let the library know if you need an interpreter. Registration required!
