Pure heart. Pure soul. Pure music. That is the spirit of Hobo Cane. Hobo Cane crafts soulful roots and independent music driven by heart and genuine human connection. Born Javier Alberto Mendoza in Virginia to a Spanish mother and a Mexican-American father, Hobo Cane’s multicultural upbringing naturally shaped his unique perspective as a lyricist and storyteller. His musical journey took root in Miami, where he worked behind the scenes as a staff songwriter for Warner-Chappell Music. While that experience sharpened his craft among industry professionals, his heart remained pulled toward a more intimate, raw style of independent songwriting.
Following the music, Hobo Cane moved to St. Louis—a legendary city deeply rooted in the history of American blues, jazz, and early rock 'n' roll. Immersing himself in the spirit of a city that shaped legends like Miles Davis, Tina Turner, and Chuck Berry, he built a devoted community of listeners who helped him deepen his artistic voice.
In 2014, he transitioned to Nashville, Tennessee, to launch his most honest and definitive project, formally adopting the name Hobo Cane. Constantly traveling, creating, and evolving, the music represents Hobo Cane at his most vulnerable and unfiltered.At the core of Hobo Cane’s artistry is a simple belief that music has the power to heal and connect people.
This is an outdoor show in good weather, or on a heated covered patio. $25 suggested donation per person collected at door. Door opens 30 minutes before the show. BYOBooze and snacks. Non-alcoholic drinks and popcorn provided.This is a listening room experience so limit conversation, phones and anything that distracts from the performance and disturbs those around you. No pets allowed.
