Now On View 3 Public Art Festival

Now On View 3 brings together four hours of music, interactive visual art, and live performance reflecting on Tampa’s past, present, and future. This walkable, family-friendly arts experience takes place across multiple Ybor City venues—including HC Ybor City, Hotel Haya, and Tempus Projects at Kress Contemporary—and coincides with the Ybor City Chamber of Commerce’s Fiesta Day, making it an easy (and fun) way to explore Ybor’s vibrant arts, culture, and history. Here's what’s happening at each venue: —HC Ybor City Lauren Gourges & Michael Lonchar — "Tunnel Vision" A site-specific installation of hand-built periscopes inviting viewers to encounter altered perspectives of Tampa’s landscape, exploring themes of vision, urban development, and environmental loss. Ketsy Ruiz — "Ida y Vuelta (There and Back)" A suspended mixed-media installation tracing over 100 years of Puerto Rican circular migration to Tampa, honoring Ybor City’s history and the enduring ties between island and mainland. —Hotel Haya Pick up Now On View swag and experience a special exhibition by Mario Javier Pérez Salabarría, featuring urban landscapes that honor the immigrants and architecture that shaped Ybor City as the “Cigar Capital of the World.” —Tempus Projects at Kress Contemporary Riley Weisbrodt — "Tidal Memory" A contemporary dance work inspired by Tampa Bay’s waters and the layered cultural histories they hold. Camille Denmark — "Paradise?" An installation using invasive plant species to examine environmental disruption and our role in caring for both ecological and human communities. Now On View 3 is organized by Grounds4Art@HC with support from the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners, Arts Council of Hillsborough County, HC Foundation, HC Student Government Association, Hotel Haya, and Tempus Projects.
