Local Benefit Concert Featuring Vertical Horizon & Tonic – July 24 at Jannus Live
St. Petersburg, FL – Rocks the Cure will host another Concert Event at Jannus Live on Saturday, July 24th. Local band, First of the Day (FOTD), will open up the concert, followed by Vertical Horizon and Tonic. Proceeds from the event will be donated to RockstheCure.org to fight pediatric cancer and help families affected by pediatric cancer. All music fans are welcome and encouraged to attend!
Rocks the Cure is a non-profit organization that uses entertainment and music to raise funds for pediatric cancer specifically to help support the special needs of pediatric cancer patients and their families. How do they accomplish this? Not by typical fundraising methods, but in an unconventional way. Rocks the Cure has joined the battle to raise awareness of pediatric cancer by arranging concerts and music events that feature nationally known recording artists to share the healing power of music with pediatric cancer patients, their families, and the community.
The driving force behind Rocks the Cure and First of the Day is lead singer and guitarist, Ken Jewell. He has been searching for ways to do more in our community. "I believe in giving back. I believe in the power of love and music. As the lead singer of a band, I was looking for a cause that could pull together my love of music and my desire to make a difference in this world. The band feels the same."
So why not come out to Jannus Live to support a great cause on July 24th? Together we can fight pediatric cancer, watch great bands – First of the Day, Vertical Horizon, and Tonic – and be part of the cure.
