ThoroughFare Neighborhood Block Party


Newly opened bakery, café, deli, and grocery hybrid ThoroughFare announces the details of their upcoming Block Party event on Thursday, June 4 from 4-8 p.m. Located in the Mueller neighborhood at 1905 Aldrich St. (next to the Thinkery), the event will feature a variety of adjacent businesses that will take over the whole Aldrich St. walkway. There will be a vinyl-curated DJ set from Dart Collective, complimentary face painting for kids, bread and cookie tastings, $2 off wine by the glass and draft beer, 20% off all Made In Cookware and merch giveaways for guests to enjoy as they roam. Participating vendors and businesses will include: ● The Thinkery and Toy Joy hosting "Franken-TOY" pop-up where guests can build and take home their own toys ● Buddy Bear offering an arts-and-crafts station pop-up for both adults and children ● Veracruz All Natural featuring complimentary samples of all their agua frescas ● Aviator Pizza offering free merch and swag, pizza giveaways and a prize wheel spinner ● Nando's Peri Peri Chicken featuring their mascot on-site, food samples and a prize wheel spinner ● Lick Ice Cream with discounts at their ice cream cart ● Blue Lacy with dine-in discounts ● BD Riley's Irish Pub with discounts on adult beverages ThoroughFare is the latest venture from the team behind nationally recognized Austin bakery ThoroughBread (named by Food & Wine as one of the 100 Best Bakeries in America), offering their customers an elevated food shopping experience. The new location serves up a full-service drink bar featuring coffee and matcha drinks, smoothies and juices, a bakery, and a café selling signature toasts, sandwiches, soups and salads. The space also features a market with 170 house-made products and ingredients like condiments, salad dressings, butters, jams, spreads and nut butters, all of which they use on their own cafe menu. ThoroughFare quietly opened its doors in March and has quickly become a go-to daily spot for Mueller residents and beyond.
