Watershed Stories - a FREE public workshop
Discover Tampa Bay’s waters in a way you’ve never experienced before. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll share your own memories of local storms, flooding, and favorite nearby ponds, creeks, or bays, then watch as those stories are transformed into sound using an arts-and-science process called data sonification. Instead of charts and graphs, you’ll hear patterns in our changing waters as music-like soundscapes that make complex information feel immediate and personal. You’ll get to listen, reflect, and talk with neighbors about what you’re hearing and how it connects to your lives, homes, and hopes for the future of Tampa Bay. Facilitators will guide simple, welcoming activities that work for all comfort levels—no tech or science background needed. You’ll leave with fresh insight into our waters, a deeper sense of connection to your community, and a story you’ll be thinking about long after you walk out.
